The morning of the wedding, Sarah, my maid of honor, burst into my room. “You won’t believe this,” she said, dragging me to the window. There was Linda… wearing a full white wedding gown. My jaw dropped. “This is my day!” I shouted at her. “You can’t wear white!” She just smiled and said, “I deserve to feel special too.”
At the ceremony, Linda sat proudly in the front row in her white gown, soaking up the attention. But just as she stood to make her speech, Tom stepped in. “Before we begin,” he said, “I’d like to share a tribute to Alexandra’s late mother.” The lights dimmed. A beautiful video of my mom played, leaving everyone in tears—except Linda, who looked visibly uncomfortable.
But Tom wasn’t done. “Now, let’s shine the spotlight on Linda,” he said. The next slideshow began—photos of her sneaking into my bridal suite, trying on my veil, and even stealing a bouquet. The room gasped. Then, an audio clip played of Linda bragging about upstaging me. The gasps turned into boos.
As if that wasn’t enough, Tom had invited her ex-husband to share a few words. He revealed stories of her past stunts—how she always craved attention, no matter the cost. Mortified and red-faced, Linda slipped out of the room. And just like that, she finally got the attention she always wanted… but for all the wrong reasons.
