One evening, our regular delivery driver, Ravi, dropped off our order looking tense. Later, I found a note on the bag that read: “CHECK YOUR TRASH CAN.” Alarmed, I rushed outside and discovered gloves, tools, and a bottle of corrosive liquid hidden in one of our bins.
I immediately called the sheriff. Deputy Leona arrived and warned me not to touch anything. She explained these items matched those used in recent break-in attempts. That night, I stayed awake, shaken, and arranged for security cameras to be installed the next morning.
When Leona returned, she confirmed the liquid was commonly used to weaken locks. Just then, I saw Ravi nearby and approached him. He admitted he’d spotted suspicious men near our home and wanted to alert us discreetly.
Thanks to Ravi’s warning, we were able to act before anything worse happened. I’ll never forget his quick thinking. That small note may have prevented a break-in—and possibly saved my family.
