Posted on August 6, 2025 By admin

Actress Kelley Mack, known for her role as Addy on The Walking Dead, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, at the age of 33, shortly after her birthday. Her family announced the heartbreaking news on her Instagram and CaringBridge, sharing that she died surrounded by loved ones. Kelley had been battling a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer called diffuse midline glioma, which affects the central nervous system.

Born in Cincinnati, Kelley pursued her passion for film and graduated with a degree in cinematography from Chapman University in 2014. She built a steady career in television and film, with credits including Chicago Med, Broadcast Signal Intrusion, 9-1-1, and behind-the-scenes work on Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. She documented her illness publicly, remaining courageous and positive throughout treatment, often updating followers with gratitude and hope.

Despite losing the use of her legs due to spinal surgery complications, Kelley continued to fight. She shared moments of progress and joy with her family and boyfriend, Logan Lanier. From starting proton radiation therapy to celebrating small wins like climbing stairs again, her spirit remained unshaken. She often expressed how the love of her family and faith kept her strong during the most difficult times.

Kelley is survived by her parents, siblings, grandparents, and boyfriend. A remembrance service will be held on August 16 in Glendale, Ohio, with a second celebration of life planned in Los Angeles. Her legacy lives on through her creative work, her bravery, and the inspiration she offered others facing similar challenges.
